You want to confirm your download is exactly the file we published.

Install

  1. Run OpenDock_0.2.0_x64-setup.exe.
  2. OpenDock isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may say Windows protected your PC. Once you've checked the download, choose More info, then Run anyway.
  3. The welcome setup asks how to treat the taskbar (replace it, auto-hide it or keep it), offers to bring over your pinned apps, and lets you pick a style.

Why the warning? SmartScreen trusts apps with a paid code-signing certificate and a download history. Signing is planned before 1.0. Until then, the checksum below proves the file came from us unchanged.

Verify your download

Open PowerShell in your Downloads folder and run:

Get-FileHash .\OpenDock_0.2.0_x64-setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256

The hash must match the line for that file in SHA256SUMS.txt. Letter case doesn't matter.

Requirements

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit
  • Microsoft Edge WebView2. It's built into Windows 11; on Windows 10 the installer downloads it from Microsoft if it's missing.
  • No account and no internet connection needed, except for the weather and calendar widgets

Update and uninstall

To update, install the new version over the old one; your settings and data are kept. To uninstall, use Settings → Apps → Installed apps. The uninstaller restores the Windows taskbar and removes OpenDock from startup. If the taskbar ever stays hidden, follow the recovery steps.

Other platforms

Linux and macOS versions are planned; see the roadmap. You can also build OpenDock from source, or browse all releases on GitHub.
